Most apartments built today have a limited space for an open-area, therefore we, as designers, have to think how to provide functionality while also making it aesthetically pleasing. Designing a space-saving kitchen/living room while transforming an open-area into the heart of the home. This design features a multifunctional kitchen with a modern/contemporary design using a contrast of black and light wood finish. The kitchen island has the function to extend into a dining table with foldable chairs, and also into a revolving table for children. The stools could be transformed into chairs for children. The living room area features a small foldable sofa which is stored within the unit.
